- Medicine at UP
The idea, the desire to study the Medicine programme in the Primorska region has been smoldering for years in both the local and the (rather quiet) professional public - occasionally it has been supported by representatives of the media. But such a study program, although extremely important and necessary, needs good consideration and a good plan and, above all, support.
Academic support and experience has been recognized by UP, especially by joining the European University Transform4Europe, which offers the experience and expertise of all the other nine members of the Alliance. Professional support was expressed by healthcare institutions, and strong support on a principled level was expressed by the local environment - citizens, media, but also representatives of the authorities. Not to be forgotten is the start of the construction process for the new UP FVZ building, which will provide sufficient space to set up the program.
With this kind of empowerment, the UP set out to establish and implement the Medicine study programme ( perhaps a bit bold for some, but with the knowledge that the desire came from the neighborhood. With the support of both the professional community and the general public and media representatives, we believe this will also be one of the success stories of the shared coast. A success story of an environment that thinks of challenges and open paths every time it looks at the horizon.
So the building blocks were a series of moments, a series of facts that led to the signing of the Letter of Intent and the start of the actual journey - but we will follow the retrospective from the first moment that sealed the decision, the Letter of Intent, and the steps from the signatures and documents to the actual implementation. We appreciate your support!
